Anode pad / tampon / anode sleeve / fuzzy sleeve / replacement fabric pad puffy from Betzmann Galvanik. This puffy fabric pad / anode sleeve or also called tampon is absolutely recommended for all plating processes. Optimally suitable for all coatings and electrolytes. The coating of larger areas is also quite fast with this pad. The insertion hole is larger than the electrode and therefore it happens that the moist anode pad slips off. Therefore, fix the pad on the electrode with a small rubber band.

Sleeve - Swab - Anode fabric pad - Anode covers, thick, multi-layered - Replacement covers for pad electroplating from Betzmann Galvanik This thick, very robust anode fabric pad consists of several layers of fabric sewn together and is ideal for coating any surface. It does not wear out so quickly, especially on rough or coarse surfaces. At the lower end there are 2 insertion holes for the anode rod up to 6mm (for 8mm you can enlarge the holes with scissors or a knife. If this has already worked its way through the fabric at the top, you can continue to use the anode fabric pad by inserting it into the other insertion hole. Please soak the pad thoroughly before use, otherwise it will not conduct. Scope of delivery: 1 piece!

Product information "Zinc electrolyte". Product description: Betzmann Galvanik Zinkelektrolyt - the product properties at a glance: acidic zinc electrolyte ideally suited for bath and pin electroplating ideally suited as corrosion and rust protection for application on iron easy to use and cyanide-free The all-rounder for corrosion protection of iron and steel. Both in the automotive sector or for outdoor applications in home and garden: Galvanic zinc plating with Betzmann Galvanic Zinc Electrolyte provides lasting protection against rust holes, rust spots and bodywork destruction, z. e.g. for classic cars (classic car restoration). If, for example, you are tired of seeing the paint layer flaking off again and again in the same places due to rust pitting, you now have the right solution: The galvanic coating with zinc effectively protects workpieces made of iron and steel from rust and gives a visually appealing surface due to the light color. The process is also known as e-zinc and has the advantage that the parts to be coated do not even have to be removed. need to be removed. The zinc electrolyte from Betzmann Galvanik is excellently suited for both bath and pen electroplating. With the weakly acidic, cyanide-free zinc electrolyte, you can easily electroplate yourself! recommended current density: 2.5 Ampere/cm² (bath electroplating) required voltage: approx. 1-3 volts for bath electroplating, 1-5 volts for pin electroplating Recommended electrode. Zinc electrode 6mm With our zinc electrolyte you can among other things: repair rust holes on your car yourself galvanize sheet metal restore oldtimers Galvanize screws repair and permanently protect rust damage (spot repair) Restore model parts / protect against rust partial repair of rust spots on railings, stairs and other components (no disassembly required) Please read our product instructions for galvanizing yourself and follow the working instructions for galvanizing. Tin - Zinc Our latest development in alloy plating solutions is one that plates 70% tin and 30% zinc. Our tin zinc alloy plating solution is an environmentally friendly alternative to cadmium plating. It is two to three times more effective than cadmium and up to ten times better than zinc. The picture opposite illustrates the effectiveness of the process. Tin/zinc can also serve as a base coat for gold when plating on to steel and iron parts. Tin/zinc plates dull, but can easily be polished to high lustre with MetaPrep, MetaPrep Ultra or the Hand Polishing Kit. Tin/zinc has the following main advantages: An excellent alternative to highly toxic cadmium. Very good corrosion resistance Excellent solderability Very ductile Plates a uniform thickness, even in recesses. Features Used for Compositions of 70% tin, 30% zinc – environmentally friendly alternative to cadmium A base coat for gold when plating on to steel and iron 2-3 times more effective than cadmium and 10 times better than zinc Coating steel to dramatically slow down corrosion, particularly in salt water Can be easily soldered plating when further construction work is necessary Plates to a uniform thickness, even in recesses Plating jobs where plating to specific thicknesses is an important consideration Very ductile Plating items that will need to have some flexibility Tech Tip; Tin/zinc plates dull, but can easily be polished to high lustre with MetaPrep, MetaPrep Ultra or the Hand Polishing Kit.
