The activator / decapping agent is an indispensable aid for the decapping and preparation of surfaces before plating in the electroplating industry. It is used to activate surfaces of metals such as steel, copper and copper alloys as well as passive nickel layers. Decapitation removes impurities from surfaces and simultaneously prepares them for the plating process. This process is crucial to ensure optimum adhesion and durability of the coating.
After alkaline pre-treatment, the decapping agent is also perfect for neutralising. Pre-treatment and cleaner - General applicationThe object is either immersed in the activator for 30 to 60 seconds and then briefly rinsed with clear water or coated with the pad for at least 30 seconds from 2.7 volts.
The activator removes thin layers of oxide that are invisible to the naked eye. Carry out further coating quickly after the activator bath, as these layers quickly form again with atmospheric oxygen (time period: max. 10 - 30 minutes) Recommended electrode: Stainless steel electrode or graphite electrode! Recommended voltage: from 2.7 volts

Product information "Gold Flash" from Betzmann Galvanik
Gold Flash with 2 grams of gold per liter - wonderfully suitable as an intermediate layer or decorative layer.
The Gold Flash from Betzmann Galvanik has 2 main areas of application:
1. optical-decorative layer:
Gold is soft and needs the addition of cobalt as a hard abrasion resistant top layer, which is not included in this product.
Therefore, the gold layer from Goldflash appears somewhat lighter yellow.
Parts that are not subject to any stress, such as souvenirs, horseshoes for decoration, etc., can be easily, directly and inexpensively gold-plated with the Goldflash.
Tip: You can first gild parts very intensively and thickly with the Goldflash and then coat them briefly with the 8 or 12 gram cobalt-displaced hard gold!
2. bonding primer for the following coatings:
Many applications require thin layers of gold before actual plating. Until now, this was only possible with the use of 24 carat gold and was therefore quite costly.

With the Goldflash from Betzmann Galvanik, you can now apply the desired gold layer.
As an example, direct silver plating of nickel is usually not feasible, so you can first gold plate with the Goldflash, then silver plate.
Likewise, when using black chrome, rose gold plating, green gold plating, the gold flash serves as an optimal bonding base when copper or nickel cannot be applied directly!
Also, gilding nickel, which naturally oxidizes, is very easy and spotless.
Then chrome plating on Goldflash can be done even easier and without problems.
Despite gold plating, the material input is far below 10 cents per cm2 of surface!

Anode pad / tampon / anode sleeve / fuzzy sleeve / replacement fabric pad puffy from Betzmann Galvanik.
This puffy fabric pad / anode sleeve or also called tampon is absolutely recommended for all plating processes.
Optimally suitable for all coatings and electrolytes.
The coating of larger areas is also quite fast with this pad.
The insertion hole is larger than the electrode and therefore it happens that the moist
anode pad slips off. Therefore, fix the pad on the electrode with a small rubber band.
