White Gold Mixer

Product information "White Gold Mixer"

White Gold Mixer:

This solution, which is added to K-Gold, allows you to plate hardened white gold.
It is completely free of nickel and can be used in all applications where the item is likely to come into contact with skin.
White gold, despite its name, is grey in colour. For this reason it is usual to top coat with palladium, rhodium or platinum.
White Gold Mixer, in smaller volumes, has a bleaching effect on gold. It can also be used to lighten rose gold forming a light pink colour.

It should be plated at 4 volts using a ratio of 2 parts mixer to 10 parts K-Gold. We highly recommend the plating is carried out at room temperature.

White Palladium 10 Gramm per Liter
White Palladium Electrolyte with 10 Gram per Liter - The allergen-free alternative to nickel! White palladium electroplating or coating with palladium is a rather rarely used galvanic coating. However, white palladium plating can offer some advantages, especially as a substitute for electroplating nickel with a nickel electrolyte.    The advantages of white palladium electrolyte compared to electroless nickel plating: Typically, a nickel electrolyte is used to apply a barrier layer of nickel between copper and gold, preventing the two metals from mixing. However, a palladium plating offers several distinct advantages over the nickel electrolyte:   White palladium is more noble than nickel, meaning no surface corrosion occurs, and the palladium does NOT require extra activation prior to gold plating as nickel does.   The deposition rate and efficiency are excellent, which means there is no unwanted gas evolution. The electrolyte deposits bright silvery white, very light palladium which can be used as a bright "finish". Gold plating with the Betzmann gold electrolyte for pin electroplating achieves an optimum result on palladium. White palladium, in contrast to nickel electrolyte, is not carcinogenic and is therefore also permitted for private users!    A very good combination for gold plating of almost all metals is:  Alkaline or acid copper depending on the metal, palladium and finally gold.  All necessary electrolytes are available in our store. White palladium can be plated on the following metals:  Copper, nickel, brass, silver, gold, on all dechromed surfaces.   Recommended voltages:  Pin electroplating: from 3 volts - Bath electroplating: 3 - 4 volts. Recommended is graphite electrode or platinum electrode from our store. Palladium content: 10 grams per liter   Main benefits;   Makes a great alternative to rhodium plating giving an authentic 18 carat white gold or platinum plated look. palladium plating solution (unlike rhodium) doesn’t etch materials made of calcium carbonate such as pearl and coral, so you won’t have to worry about masking out these materials before submerging them in your palladium plating bath. can be used as a substitute for nickel as a barrier layer for gold plating on copper and its alloys. can be used as an alternative to silver as it doesn’t tarnish and is hard-wearing. Very low porosity – excellent for corrosion protection. Readily wettable by solder and dissolves a lot more slowly than gold in the solder making it an excellent top coat over gold for electrical contacts. K-Gold - Clear Gold 10 Gramm/L.
Product information "Klargold - Clear Gold " by Betzmann Galvanik Clear gold with 10 grams of gold per liter is just like the gold flash - wonderfully suitable as an intermediate layer or decorative layer.    Betzmann Galvanik's Clear Gold has the following main applications:   1. for mixing with Rose Gold Mixer - White Gold Mixer - Green Gold Mixer or Goldweisser. The hardness additives are in the respective mixer liquids. You can find the instructions in the respective item description and guide.   2. Optical-decorative layer: Gold is soft and requires the addition of cobalt as a hard abrasion resistant top layer, which is not included in this product. Therefore, the gold layer from the Clear Gold appears slightly lighter yellow. Parts that are not subject to stress, such as souvenirs, horseshoes for decoration, etc., can be easily, directly and inexpensively gilded with the Clear Gold.   Tip: You can first very intensively and thickly gild parts with the clear gold, because the high proportion of gold very quickly and thick gold layers and then coated briefly with the 8 or 12 grams cobalt-displaced hard gold!   3. bonding primer for the following coatings: Many applications require thin layers of gold before actual plating.  With the Clear Gold from Betzmann Galvanik you can apply the desired gold layer. As an example, direct silver plating of nickel is usually not feasible, so you can first gold plate with the Clear Gold, then silver plate. Likewise, when using black chrome, rose gold plating, green gold plating, the clear gold serves as an optimal bonding base when copper or nickel cannot be applied directly! Also, the gilding of nickel, which naturally oxidizes, is very easy and spotless possible. Then chrome plating on clear gold can be done even easier and without problems.   Recommended electrode: platinum electrode, graphite electrode Voltage: from approx. 4 volts  Cyanide free   Procedure: Polishing if necessary Degreasing Activate Clear Gold Continue with the top coat chrome, white gold, rose gold, green gold   Features Used for Designed mainly as a base solution for mixing with our Coloured Gold Mixers Mixing with Yellow, White, Rose, and Green Gold Mixers and Brass Effect Gold Mixer. Can be mixed with 2 or more Gold Mixers Creating a huge spectrum of different shades and tints of gold – good for exactly matching colour of original gold plated layer Can be plated on its own, forming a soft, 24 carat gold layer, completely cyanide free Mainly functional purposes only. Needs a Gold Flash undercoat if plating on to stainless steel     Signalword: Warning   H-phrases: H332 Harmful by inhalation. H312 Harmful in contact with skin. H302 Harmful if swallowed. Gold Whitener
Gold whitener from Betzmann Galvanik - This new mixer liquid can be used in conjunction with our normal gold electrolyte to create different lighter gold tones, such as 18 carat gold. You simply mix in a ratio of 2:10 ml (2 ml gold whitener and 10 ml gold electrolyte) to create an 18 carat gold tone. The more gold whitener you add, the brighter the gold will be. Can also be applied pure! Gold brightener:  When mixed with our Gold Electrolyte, it creates many different shades of gold, from a hue similar to 18 karat yellow gold, to pale yellow, to a grayish hue common to white gold alloys. Features / Advantages The Gold Weisser can be mixed with our standard gold plating solution in a ratio of 2 to 10. Bleaches back the hue of our standard gold solution to create a finish similar to most common 18-karat gold tones No need to buy another base solution - just mix it with our standard gold. You can add more Gold Weisser to lighten the shade further, or add less to create a richer shade. Great flexibility - you can meet your customers' exact requirements Operating conditions and deposition data Voltage range 3.0 - 5.0 volts Temperature 18 - 25 °C Gold concentration 8 - 4 g/l Electrode Platinum or graphite electrode Gold content in the plate 99.9% (yellow gold) - 75% (gray-white) Deposition rate at (3.5 volts, platinum electrode) approx. 0.5 microns per minute (spot) Hardness of: 220 (yellow gold) - 550 Hv (white gold) Density of deposit 15.0 (yellow gold) - 19.0 g/cm3 (white gold) Voltage Medium voltage - high voltage Special storage conditions NoneShelf life Over 3 years Notes: none We strongly advise against the use of stainless steel anodes for most of our plating processes except for degreasing - activating and dechroming! Coating rates are calculated over a sample area that is permanently covered with a swab.
