X-Gold Goldstrike 4 Gramm / Liter

Product information "X-Gold Goldstrike 4 Gramm / Liter"

X‑Gold / Goldstrike 4 g/L Electrolyte (BMG‑087.2)

High‑Adhesion Gold Strike Plating Solution for Difficult Surfaces

Short Description

The X‑Gold / Goldstrike 4 g/L Electrolyte (BMG‑087.2) is a specialized gold plating solution with 4 grams of gold per liter designed to deposit thin, highly adherent gold layers. It is especially effective on challenging substrates such as chrome, stainless steels, and dental alloys, and it is ideal as a strike or adhesion layer before applying thicker gold or other metal coatings.

Applications

This gold strike electrolyte is suitable for:

  • Thin adhesion gold layers on difficult‑to‑plate metals

  • Base layers for thicker gold or precious metal coatings

  • Decorative accents and conductive finishes

  • Brush, tank, or pen plating applications

  • Preparing surfaces so that subsequent plating achieves better adherence and finish

How It Works (Simple Explanation)

During electroplating, gold ions are reduced onto the workpiece surface under DC. This specific electrolyte is formulated to promote strong adhesion, even on substrates that are normally hard to coat:

  1. Prepare: Clean and degrease the surface thoroughly.

  2. Plating: Connect the workpiece as the cathode and apply voltage.

  3. Deposit: A thin, adherent gold layer forms.

  4. Continue: Use this layer as a base for thicker coatings or other metals.

Benefits of X‑Gold / Goldstrike 4 g/L Electrolyte

  • Excellent adhesion on chrome, stainless steels, and challenging alloys

  • Adequate gold concentration for effective strike layers

  • Uniform and reliable plating at moderate voltages

  • Useful base for further electroplating steps

  • Suitable for hobby, workshop, and professional uses

Anode sleeve fuzzy

Anode pad / tampon / anode sleeve / fuzzy sleeve / replacement fabric pad puffy from Betzmann Galvanik.    This puffy fabric pad / anode sleeve or also called tampon is absolutely recommended for all plating processes. Optimally suitable for all coatings and electrolytes.  The coating of larger areas is also quite fast with this pad.   The insertion hole is larger than the electrode and therefore it happens that the moist  anode pad slips off. Therefore, fix the pad on the electrode with a small rubber band.
