White Bronze as a Nickel Alternative One of the key advantages of White Bronze is the possibility of producing a nickel-free electroplated surface. The deposited coating provides a bright metallic appearance together with good resistance to corrosion and wear. For suitable applications, White Bronze can therefore be an interesting alternative to conventional nickel plating. Important: Whether White Bronze is suitable as a direct replacement for nickel depends on the specific requirements regarding colour, hardness, corrosion resistance, wear resistance and applicable regulations. Adjusting the Colour One advantage of the system is the ability to influence the final colour and coating characteristics through the mixing ratio and process parameters. In addition to the recommended 1:1 starting ratio, other ratios can be tested for specific colour requirements. Process parameters such as voltage, temperature, current density and electrolyte movement can also affect the final result. For repeatable production results, the selected parameters should be kept as consistent as possible. Designed exclusively as a negative contact clamp (cathode connection), it provides a secure electrical connection to the workpiece while minimizing the risk of surface damage.Manufactured from high-purity copper, the clip offers outstanding electrical conductivity with very low contact resistance, ensuring stable current transfer and consistent electroplating results. The soft copper jaws help protect delicate surfaces by significantly reducing the risk of scratches or pressure marks during clamping.Unlike zinc-plated steel clamps, the Copper Alligator Clip is rust-proof, zinc-free, and corrosion-resistant, eliminating the risk of zinc contamination of the electrolyte or workpiece. This makes it particularly suitable for high-quality precious metal plating processes such as gold plating, silver plating, rhodium plating, palladium plating, platinum plating, and ruthenium plating. Its robust copper construction also provides an exceptionally long service life and can last up to 200 times longer than conventional coated alligator clips under normal electroplating conditions.ApplicationsThe Copper Alligator Clip is ideal for:Tank PlatingPen PlatingBrush PlatingGold PlatingSilver PlatingRhodium PlatingPalladium PlatingPlatinum PlatingRuthenium PlatingCopper PlatingNickel PlatingChromium PlatingCobalt PlatingDecorative electroplatingSelective platingRepair platingSuitable for:JewelersGoldsmithsJewelry manufacturersElectroplating companiesWatchmakersLaboratoriesIndustrial applicationsProfessional workshopsHobby usersProduct BenefitsDesigned specifically as a negative contact clampManufactured from high-purity copperExcellent electrical conductivityVery low contact resistanceSoft copper jaws protect delicate surfacesMinimizes scratches and pressure marksRust-proofZinc-free constructionNo risk of zinc contaminationExtremely durableUp to 200 times longer service life than conventional coated clampsSuitable for all professional electroplating applicationsWhy Use a Copper Contact Clamp?Reliable electrical contact is essential for achieving high-quality electroplated coatings. The Copper Alligator Clip provides:Stable current transferExcellent coating adhesionUniform coating thicknessConsistent plating resultsMinimal electrical lossesGentle workpiece handlingClean precious metal deposits without zinc contaminationBy attaching the clip to a hidden or non-visible area of the workpiece, the contact mark can be kept virtually invisible after plating.Typical ApplicationsIdeal for connecting:JewelryRingsNecklacesPendantsBraceletsEarringsWatch casesEyewear framesCoinsMedalsPrecision componentsPrototype partsEngineering componentsDecorative metal partsCompatibilityThe Copper Alligator Clip is compatible with virtually all electroplating systems and laboratory power supplies.Ideal for use with:Electroplating power suppliesConnection cablesElectrode holdersGraphite electrodesPlatinum electrodesTank plating systemsPen plating systemsBrush plating systemsQuality from Betzmann GalvanikBetzmann Galvanik supplies premium electroplating accessories for professional users worldwide.
