Product information "Klargold - Clear Gold " by Betzmann Galvanik

Clear gold with 10 grams of gold per liter is just like the gold flash - wonderfully suitable as an intermediate layer or decorative layer.

Betzmann Galvanik's Clear Gold has the following main applications:

1. for mixing with Rose Gold Mixer - White Gold Mixer - Green Gold Mixer or Goldweisser. The hardness additives are in the respective mixer liquids. You can find the instructions in the respective item description and guide.

2. Optical-decorative layer:

Gold is soft and requires the addition of cobalt as a hard abrasion resistant top layer, which is not included in this product.

Therefore, the gold layer from the Clear Gold appears slightly lighter yellow.

Parts that are not subject to stress, such as souvenirs, horseshoes for decoration, etc., can be easily, directly and inexpensively gilded with the Clear Gold.

Tip: You can first very intensively and thickly gild parts with the clear gold, because the high proportion of gold very quickly and thick gold layers and then coated briefly with the 8 or 12 grams cobalt-displaced hard gold!

3. bonding primer for the following coatings:

Many applications require thin layers of gold before actual plating.

With the Clear Gold from Betzmann Galvanik you can apply the desired gold layer.

As an example, direct silver plating of nickel is usually not feasible, so you can first gold plate with the Clear Gold, then silver plate.

Likewise, when using black chrome, rose gold plating, green gold plating, the clear gold serves as an optimal bonding base when copper or nickel cannot be applied directly!

Also, the gilding of nickel, which naturally oxidizes, is very easy and spotless possible.

Then chrome plating on clear gold can be done even easier and without problems.

Gold Whitener
Gold whitener from Betzmann Galvanik - This new mixer liquid can be used in conjunction with our normal gold electrolyte to create different lighter gold tones, such as 18 carat gold. You simply mix in a ratio of 2:10 ml (2 ml gold whitener and 10 ml gold electrolyte) to create an 18 carat gold tone. The more gold whitener you add, the brighter the gold will be. Can also be applied pure! Gold brightener:  When mixed with our Gold Electrolyte, it creates many different shades of gold, from a hue similar to 18 karat yellow gold, to pale yellow, to a grayish hue common to white gold alloys. Features / Advantages The Gold Weisser can be mixed with our standard gold plating solution in a ratio of 2 to 10. Bleaches back the hue of our standard gold solution to create a finish similar to most common 18-karat gold tones No need to buy another base solution - just mix it with our standard gold. You can add more Gold Weisser to lighten the shade further, or add less to create a richer shade. Great flexibility - you can meet your customers' exact requirements Operating conditions and deposition data Voltage range 3.0 - 5.0 volts Temperature 18 - 25 °C Gold concentration 8 - 4 g/l Electrode Platinum or graphite electrode Gold content in the plate 99.9% (yellow gold) - 75% (gray-white) Deposition rate at (3.5 volts, platinum electrode) approx. 0.5 microns per minute (spot) Hardness of: 220 (yellow gold) - 550 Hv (white gold) Density of deposit 15.0 (yellow gold) - 19.0 g/cm3 (white gold) Voltage Medium voltage - high voltage Special storage conditions NoneShelf life Over 3 years Notes: none We strongly advise against the use of stainless steel anodes for most of our plating processes except for degreasing - activating and dechroming! Coating rates are calculated over a sample area that is permanently covered with a swab.

Platinum Electrode
Platinum electrode from Betzmann-Galvanik:   We know that when plating with gold or silver, you want to achieve only the best results and this is achieved by using our platinum electrode (platinized titanium). This will more than meet your requirements. It hardly wears out and leaves no black spots or stains when plating. For top quality gold plating, we recommend the use of this electrode.   Care should be taken to clean the electrode carefully after each use!     Properties "Platinum Electrode 6 mm Platinum electrode (platinized titanium with a platinum layer of 2.5 µm platinum) Ø 6 mm x 100 mm Standard electrode for experiments in electrochemistry (electroplating, electrolysis, ion migration, determination of electrochemical potentials, etc.) Spare platinum electrode for Hofmann decomposition apparatus, electrolyzer Platinum-coated titanium anodes are among the classic anode materials for electroplating because they combine the excellent electrochemical properties of platinum with the good corrosion properties of titanium. They are characterized by a long service life at high current density and are versatile in use. They are equally suitable for platinum and ruthenium baths, for hard chrome plating, as bright rhodium baths and for cathodic corrosion protection. The standard platinum layer thickness is 2.5 μm.   In order to achieve the best results when plating with gold (adhesive gold bath, bright gold plating bath) or silver, they are indispensable.   This platinum electrode will more than meet your requirements, it hardly wears out and leaves no black spots or stains when plating. For top quality gold plating, I recommend using this electrode.   Other possible applications: Water electrolysis/separation of hydrogen and oxygen, water disinfection, production of chlorates (chlorate synthesis) and perchlorates.   Recommended operating data:   Operating voltage from 3 volts distance anode/workpiece surface 5 cm anodic current intensity (specific current density) max. 75 A/dm² (7.5 mA/mm² = 750 mA/cm²), i.e. a multiple of the values typical in electroplating (0.5 ... 5 A/dm²) pH value: 0 - 11 Bath temperature max. 60 °C

Rosegold Mixer
Rosegold Mixer - Betzmann Galvanoshop: Simply add Rose Gold Mixer to K-Gold to plate fabulously warm, lustrous tones of rose gold. All you need to do is mix the two together to create just the right amount of solution you need. We recommend you buy the mixing kit to make sure you measure out the correct ratios.A 1:10 mix will give you a darker shade of rose gold commonly used for eastern European jewellery, while a mix of 2:10 gives a mix not too dissimilar to highly polished pure copper, however this one does not tarnish. If plating on to stainless steel, nickel or its alloys, first plate a layer of 24 carat gold or Goldflash to give a good, solid base on which to plate your Rose Gold layer.   Features Used for Rose gold plate is very hard compared to pure gold. Great for plating items subject to a high-wear environment (jewellery). Plates fast. Reduces plating time. When mixed with K-Gold, creates the classic warm tones of rose gold. Selective plating of a range of personal items for example jewellery and watch cases and straps. Can be used on larger items such as silverware and picture frames. Redder deposits can be obtained by increasing the volume of mixer. Greater flexibility in colour matching. Consistency of alloy throughout process sequence. Very useful especially when plating large work or plating to higher thickness: the shade of gold plated doesn’t change.   Instructions for use Carbon Electrode3 – 3.5 volts20 – 25 centigrade Ratio of Rosegold Mixer to K-Gold Shade Produced   Remarks 1:10 Yellow-red shade   18 carat alloy (75% gold, 25% copper). Anode sleeve fuzzy
Anode pad / tampon / anode sleeve / fuzzy sleeve / replacement fabric pad puffy from Betzmann Galvanik.    This puffy fabric pad / anode sleeve or also called tampon is absolutely recommended for all plating processes. Optimally suitable for all coatings and electrolytes.  The coating of larger areas is also quite fast with this pad.   The insertion hole is larger than the electrode and therefore it happens that the moist  anode pad slips off. Therefore, fix the pad on the electrode with a small rubber band.
